Together with local system integrators Magnetic has implemented numerous projects with security barriers and gates in the Southeast Asian Oil and Gas Industry. Magnetic Control Systems is a key supplier to Petronas (Malaysian National Oil Company) refinery for their security barrier requirements.

Magnetic is the only security hardware manufacturer in the Southeast Asian region who provides a 2-year warranty. As a result of this and together with the high quality standards in products and service, Magnetic has been appointed as an approved vendor to Petronas. Several Petronas plants throughout Malaysia have been equipped with our vehicle and pedestrian barriers and gates.

Usually the Magnetic products are part of a complex access control solution. They are used together with proximity readers to control vehicle and pedestrian access. Reliability and secure operation are essential for the oil and gas industry. The Magnetic torque motor drive system has provided reliable operations even in harsh operating environments like at refineries located by the sea. Therefore and to ensure a long and trouble free operating life, the whole equipment has been manufactured in stainless or fully galvanized steel.

In this specific industry segment Magnetic has supplied different products such as Full-Height and Half Height Turnstiles, Retractable Flap Pedestrian Barriers, Cantilever Gates, Swing Gates, Traffic Barriers and Traffic Control Systems.

Additionally Magnetic has been appointed as the supplier for the “air gate” to the Petronas Twin Tower located in Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). This building is still one of the tallest twin towers worldwide and the most popular landmark of Malaysia.
